Helping Pakistan's Flood Victims

The floods in Pakistan has damaged or destroyed an estimated 288,000 homes and affected more than 13 million people. IOM is distributing all-weather tents and relief kits to flood victims but as the number of affected people rise, more assistance is urgently needed.

Several months after Cyclone Nargis hit Myanmar, IOM continues to respond to the health needs of affected communities by delivering medical treatment, health education and psychosocial support.

Empowering Polish Construction Workers

Polish construction workers form the largest group of labor migrants in Norway. As such, their employers have expressed the need for better information for labour migrants. The available information is fragmented and difficult to access; there is a lack of overview of the system; the laws and regulations are complicated; and limited information available in languages that migrants understand.
